Dance, Part One

Price (CAD): $650.00

What is Dance Education? Why is it important? What does an effective Dance Education program look like in an Ontario classroom? Dance Part 1 will focus on the fundamentals of Dance Education in elementary and secondary schools through theoretical and practical applications.  The Elements of Dance and dance conventions (such as rhythm and movement) will be the backdrop for exploring how dance helps students make meaning of their world.

This is an onsite blended course meaning that while the majority of the instruction will occur in a classroom setting, there will be some online activities. Online activities will begin one week prior to the first onsite class and will be completed throughout the 2 weeks of onsite classes. In addition, educators will have an additional week after the last onsite class, July 14th, to complete the online requirements.
