This Specialist course builds on the work of the Special Education, Parts 1 and 2, focusing on leadership in Special Education. Effective collaboration and leadership is stressed, including working with the school team, parents, and advocacy groups.

Prerequisites:

• Successful completion of the Additional Qualification course: Special Education, Part 2; and
• Two years of successful teaching experience, including one year in the subject area, certified by a supervisory officer.
