In the summer of 2012 travel with ETFO’s destination AQs – a unique and exciting educational travel experience created by teachers for teachers. Offered in conjunction with Georgia Hardy Tours, a leader with 35 years in the education travel industry, these AQ courses are an opportunity of a lifetime.

Destination Additional Qualifications courses are unique learning experiences for teachers which combine the best of online learning prior to heading to Europe for a carefully planned vacation. While oversees participants extend their learning trip in a face-to-face learning environment. Better yet, your friends and companions can come along with you while you travel and learn.

Ontario legislation requires that AQ courses include 125 hours of instruction. With ETFO’s destination AQ courses, 60 hours of work will be done online between April 15th and June 22nd. This learning will be facilitated by one of our exemplary instructors. While overseas you’ll be lead by the same instructor through a  further 40 hours of activity in a dynamic face-to-face learning environment. The final 25 hours will be comprised of your independent work, a culminating task, and your reflections done after you return home. Upon completion of this work ETFO will submit your name to the Ontario College of Teachers so that you can receive the Additional Qualifications notation on your Certificate of Qualifications.

The travel component of our destination AQs is a perfect example of work/life balance combining instructional time, group tours, and plenty of free time to allow you to explore the region as you wish. You’ll stay in three and four star hotels. Many of your meals will be included. Transfers will all be arranged by an onsite representative of Georgia Hardy Tours. You’ll experience a wide variety of guided tours lead by experienced local guides.
