The Equitable and Inclusive Schools Specialist Additional Qualification course continues to explore equity and inclusive classrooms with a leadership focus through a collaborative approach in sustaining inclusive and equitable schools. Candidates through the lens of leadership begin to critically develop, maintain and initiate inclusive teaching practices that can be adopted and shared in learning environments and extended to a diverse student body, staff, parents and the community.
Prerequisites
- OCT member in good standing with a permanent teaching certificate
- Successful completion of the Additional Qualification course: Inclusive Classroom, Part 2; and
- Two years of successful teaching experience, that is certified by a supervisory officer*
Teaching Experience Form
Candidates are responsible for ensuring they satisfy the specific eligibility prerequisites.
*Teaching Experience forms must be submitted to ETFO AQ (see policies and forms) prior to the start of the course. Failure to submit the necessary documents will result in the candidate being removed from the course.
