This course is designed to extend and deepen the application of concepts discussed in Mathematics Primary/Junior Parts 1 and 2. Communicating with parents and supporting and mentoring colleagues will be explored. Candidates will have opportunities to communicate and apply learning through practical experiences, discussion, networking and sharing the products of their learning. Leadership in assessment and strategies for building collaboration and support within the education community for mathematics will be examined.
Prerequisites
- OCT member in good standing with a permanent or temporary teaching certificate
- Successful completion of the Additional Qualification course: Mathematics, Primary and Junior, Part 2; and
- Two years of successful teaching experience that is certified by a supervisory officer.
- Submission of Certificate of Teaching Experience Form to certify experience (found in the Policies and Forms section)
