This Specialist course builds on the work of the Reading, Part 2 course with a strong focus on leadership within the area of reading. Effective collaboration , mentoring and school change are stressed. Candidates will consider issues such as working with the school literacy teams, parents, and advocacy groups.
- OCT member in good standing with a permanent or temporary teaching certificate
- Successful completion of the Additional Qualification course: Reading, Part 2; and
- Two years of successful teaching experience, certified by a supervisory officer.
