This course aims to further develop the professional practice and extends knowledge and skills learned in Librarianship, Part 1. It is designed to explore the critical role that teacher librarians play in successful school library programs. It will also develop the relationship between assessment and instruction in the library program and the understanding of advocacy for learning activity to meet the needs of all learners. Candidates will be empowered in their roles as responsibilities of their role as a leader and the impact they have in the school community.
Prerequisites
- OCT member in good standing with a permanent or transitional teaching certificate
- Successful completion of the Additional Qualification Course: Librarianship, Part 1; and
- One year of successful teaching experience, certified by a supervisory officer.
- Submission of Certificate of Teaching Experience Form to certify experience (found in the Policies and Forms section)
