The rapid growth of technology can be daunting as educators pursue professional development to be the best they can be for their students. The benefits of exploring the wealth of resources available to meet the needs of students, requires a curiosity to discover and embrace the many tools available. This course focuses on the use of assistive technology to support learners.
Candidates will explore practices using technology within the context of Special Education, and a range of exceptionalities that benefit from the use of assistive technology. Candidates develop current and authentic student driven tools and technology that can be readily used in the classroom for student success.
Prerequisites
- OCT member in good standing
- Permanent Teaching Certificate (Certificate of Qualification and Registration)
- Basic Qualifications in at least one of the following divisions:

- Intermediate
- Senior
