This course is designed to extend and deepen the application of concepts discussed in Writing, Parts 1 and 2. Communicating with parents about writing processes and supporting and mentoring colleagues in their understanding of writing strategies in resources will be explored. Candidates will have opportunities to communicate and apply learning through practical experiences, discussion, networking and sharing the products of their learning.
Leadership in writing, assessment, and strategies for building collaboration and support within the education community for promoting writing will be examined.
Prerequisites
- OCT member in good standing with a permanent or temporary teaching certificate
- Successful completion of the Additional Qualification course: Writing, Part 2; and
- Two years of successful teaching experience, that is certified by a supervisory officer.
