ETFO has created an innovative learning model for all AQ courses. AQ participants learn in interactive, practical and engaging environments that are facilitated by knowledgeable and experienced instructors.

Candidates have requested a ‘year-at-a-glance’ calendar so that they can plan their professional learning and ETFO is happy to provide this. The calendar below shows our offerings for the upcoming year. Please click on the course title for online course descriptions and the course offering (i.e. Special Education, Specialist, Lambton Kent) for a specific onsite course description including dates, times, and location.

Course Guidelines

People often ask ETFO for a copy of the course guidelines. These guidelines are developed by the Ontario College of Teachers and approved by the Standards of Practice in Education Committee. Once approved, providers develop their courses based upon these guidelines. Prior to offering these newly developed courses they must be accredited by the Ontario College of Teachers to ensure that the course content and activities all meet the requirements set out in the guidelines.
